Sports of the 90's

Sports in the 90's was interestin. Baseball was losing popularity and basketball was rising, with its star Micheal Jordan. Football always popular, was doing fine. In the 90s we saw elite stars. Micheal Jordan was the athlete of the decade. Leading the bulls to 6 titles in his career. He single handedly brought basketball to the national spotlight. While baseball was dealing with the strike and the problem of steriods.(known to baseball as the steriod era) 90's sports fans for the most part, were very into the sport secene. In football the 49ers were still dominate and stars such as Dan Marino, John Elway, Brett Favre, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, and Troy Aikman. The cowboys and the Broncos have to be my football teams of the decade. Baseball mostly the Yankees were the dominate force in baseball. Almost making it to the world series every year. Players like Derek Jeter, Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens, Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa, Ken griffy Jr,and Frank Thomas. Mosty baseball in the 90's was known for lots of homerun hitters and higher scoring games. We also saw the rise of boxing, with the huge star Mike Tyson winning the title and becomming the youngest heavyweight champion of all time.










Fashion of the 90's

The style of the 90's was a interestin one. Some people wore plaids and torn jeans, others wore more of a crazy style, mohawks, colored hair. The 90's is known as a casual decade for fashion. Retro clothing became popular, and sports fashion was very popular. The 90's was also the decade of the model. Body piercings became popular, and wide leg pants. Goth fashion was popular as well in the mid 90s to late. Other popular wear was, very bright t shirts and big shoes, like addidas, or nikes. Other people, or bands even brought in a new style, grunge music, brought flannel shirts and ripped jeans to popularity. The group kriss kross, wore clothing backwards and inspired a hip/hop fashion movement.

Theres many great movies of the 90's, some changing film making forever. Movies such as, Terminator 2, and the Matrix changed action films and special effects forever. With groundbreaking film making, both of these movies ushered in a new way to show action scenes.
